Fallout Friday Polls are here! Make sure to answer all polls and leave a comment!

    OCT 13, 2017 - OCT 20, 2017

Section moved to a new weekly format coming soon. If possible, I'd like to create a dual community feature with Leea and Sakaratte, where we basically write a weekly ReCap of articles, blogs, and forums, and where we do things like Caption Contests.

I believe that you can have anything you want for breakfast. Why do you have to limit yourself to cereal and the other breakfast-themed foods? Lunch and supper-type foods are just as edible during the morning as they are at later times of the day. Heck, I'm having bread and mayonaise (vegetarian mayonaise, that is) right now, and tomorrow I'll likely have something similar.

I read in an older book (it was printed in the 1970s) that two fire trucks from different jurisdictions responded to a house fire and argued the whole time about who had the right to put out the house fire. The house completely burned down while they were having a heated discussion about it.

THAT'S ALL THIS WEEK! IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR ME, LEAVE THEM ON MY TALK PAGE!

    News 15 October 2017

    October 15, 2017 by Sakaratte

This has been a busy week for the wiki, a lot of ideas have come up, changes that are on going and other projects in the works.

On this day Colonel Spindel committed suicide at the Mariposa Military Base in 2077.

We have had 5 forums running covering various aspects of the wiki and editorial.

We still do not have a decision on Creation Club, which as the title of the forum to decide how to handle still being apt:

We have managed to get the options down to 2 main veins of thought (with one vote between them: A page for each item, or a page for everything. With the result being so narrow and so polarised, one of the options being considered is a third (and hopefully final) vote to settle it between them once and for all. At present we are waiti…

I plan to be remaking this section over the next few weeks. Since a weekly Nukapedia recap courtesy of Agent C hasn't be happening very often recently (remember these days?), I figured a roundup might work here... Updated, of course. Now that The Law is doing weekly movie reviews, his stuff will appear here too. I really like the old "around the wiki" feature, so I'll be focusing on that in particular for now.

Not sure if it was mentioned here (I'm sure Agent C mentioned it in a news post) but in late April Geek & Sundry announced Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, “the first tabletop miniatures game based on the Fallout universe”.

For those just hearing about this here is the official description:

"In Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, players build their own crew from a wide range of factions, allies, and iconic characters from the Fallout series, then play in apocalyptic games of 3-30 high-quality 32mm scale resin miniatures through a huge variety of iconic scenery and settlement buildings, from the Red Rocket to Sanctuary Hills, Nuka-Cola vending machines and wrecked vehicles. Settlements include buildings, defenses, and resources that impact the crew's arm…

If I seem a little distracted and not as lighthearted this issue, its because I have a good reason. The other day, I was stalked by a creepy man who stood on the road and stared in the window that faces the road for an hour and a half, way into the dark after sunset. The house is quite a good amount of feet from the road (which is protected by a fence) and the yard is full of bushes, so his view wasn't crystal clear, but it was disconcerting nonetheless. He stood there silently, in the heat, mosquitoes, and cars speeding by him and he just looked in. Eventually he left (or we scared him off) because mom kept shining a spotlight into the trees where he was standing, and he puttered off on his motorcycle. Now, every sound in the night makes …

Howdy folks, how's tricks? I'm back with another review.

Saw The Bad Batch over the weekend. Fucking weird movie man, like seriously, just weird, there was a good cast but I still don't know what it was all about, dig? Maybe you should watch it, it's on Netflix but seriously, it was weird/10.

There are now as many Fallout Friday polls as presidents. Woohoo?

    • A gunman perched in a window of the Mandalay Bay Hotel fires upon a crowd of thousands of people attending a Las Vegas outdoor concert. 59 people die, and over 500 are injured, making the attack the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The gunman's motives are as of yet unknown. The shooting's toll was fortunately reduced by the large amount of people who stepped in, including off-duty officers, EMTs, firefighters, and ordinary citizens simply doing their best to help others. Countless lives were saved by these people, and some, …

If I'm not heard from for a while, it'll be because this blasted storm knocked out the power. So, I while I hope that will not happen (I mean really), it could, so that explanation is there.

This week's trivia is brought to you by: your humble dictionary.

We all know what a pompadour is (hey Butch!), but I bet you didn't know that is also a name for a type of pink.

Can you envision a pink version of the hairstyle? Hehehehe.

    Do you sleep heavily?

    • Third was that you're pretty light. So then I won't have to yell...WAKE UP!
    • Second was you think you're in between. How can you tell? Do people tell you, "hey, you're pretty easy to wake up"?
    • And first was you sleep like a log. StormRider is just as bad as me. I've slept through storms before and my parents t…

    20 Years of Fallout

As a young kid, I played many kinds or paper and pen role playing games. D&D, Top Secret, Traveler, Champions, In the Labyrinth. As I aged, and computers became a thing, I saw the early attempts to create computer based rpgs and was less than impressed. Nothing seemed to replicate the feel of paper and pen games for me. I did get into playing all kinds of computer games, flight sims, first person shooters, etc, but didn't like the few rpgs I tried. Fast forward to one day I walked into my oldest son's room to see what he was playing on his xbox. I was used to seeing him play fpsers. I watch him play a g…
